She recounted that during the filming of a movie, the production manager mistakenly provided a real knife for a stabbing scene. Fortunately, the error was caught in time, preventing a potentially tragic accident.

Sharing the experience on social media, she wrote:

“Should I talk about the production designer who gave an actor a real knife for a stabbing scene? My God. If not for divine intervention, Vanessa Williams would have stabbed John Dumelo with a real knife that day. How is this not a joke?”

Djansi also highlighted other startling experiences she encountered while working in Ghana’s film industry.

“Imagine an assistant director deciding to take a nap in the middle of a shoot. Or a crew demanding that filming be paused so they could watch a football match, only to resume work after the game.”

She further referenced filmmaker Cary Fukunaga’s remarks about working in Ghana and pointed out challenges such as wardrobe departments neglecting actors with smaller roles.
