Iconic Afrobeats and Highlife musician Godwin Akebamdewor Bazentum better known as Fasetwo has emerged victorious at the 6th Upper East Music Music Awards, claiming the prestigious Artiste of the Year award.
He faced tough competition from fellow music stars in the region which include: Pandy, Rockcity, Flamebwoy, Timorino, Showboy, Mahama Kundivi, Nambawan, Alaptawan, Gingsen but ultimately emerged on top. This remarkable win marks Fasetwo’s second time taking home the coveted Artiste of the Year trophy, solidifying his place as a powerhouse in the Upper East music scene.
After bagging six nominations, Fasetwo won two awards making him the highest winner on the night.
The Iconic Afrobeats musician also sets the record of being the only artiste to have won the enviable Upper East Music Awards Artiste of The Year title twice in a row.The 6th Upper East Music Awards took place at the Bolgatanga GNAT Hall on 11 January 2024.
